Permanent Makeup is not suitable for everyone.

While permanent make up is great for most people, some individuals are not suitable for this

service. Who cannot receive this service?

● Individuals under 18 years of age

○ We cannot Microblade anyone under 18 years of age, even with parental

consent.

● Women who are pregnant or nursing

○ As the body is going through hormonal changes, it is more prone to infections.

Your skin may change and results can be unpredictable.

● Individuals with Pacemaker or major heart problems

○ We use epinephrine, as a numbing agent, that can increase your heart rate

possible causing dysrhythmias.

● Individuals with viral infections and/or diseases

○ The risk of developing an infection is higher in people with compromised immune

system.

● Individuals with Lupus

○ The risk of developing an infection is higher in people with compromised immune

system.

● Individuals who have undergone Organ Transplant

○ The risk of developing an infection is higher in people with compromised immune

system.

● Individuals with any kind of skin condition on or near the treatment area

○ Eczema, dermatitis, rosacea, psoriasis or any one of these skin conditions

may compromise the surface and texture of the skin. Procedure performed on

skin with these type of condition may have sub par results.

● Individuals who are allergic to metal and colour

○ We use small needles and pigments that can contain some metals and colorant,

so allergy can be a show stopper.

● Individuals prone to keloids

○ Since permanent makeup punctures the skin, there is always a risk for people

that are prone to keloids to heal with keloids scaring

● Individuals who used Accutane

○ Accutane alters the skin and makes it thin, dry, and sensitive. It also weakens

your immune system. For those reasons you'll need to one year after your

Accutane treatment is completed and your skin is back to its normal state.

● Individuals with very oily skin are ineligible for microblading but may benefit from

powder shading only.

Pre-Care instructions are designed to limit bleeding and skin sensitivities during the service.

Excessive bleeding during the procedure will dilute the pigment color and lead to poor results

● The skin must be free of all irritations including blemishes, eczema, and psoriasis.

● Must be off Accutane medication for six months prior to getting a Cosmetic Tattoo.

● Stop taking Fish Oil, Vitamin C, Glucosamine, Evening Primrose Oil, Ginger, one week

prior to your appointment as they thin the blood and prevent the pigment from implanting

correctly, meaning your tattoo may heal patchy.

● Discontinue the use of any anti-aging, skin brightening or anti-acne skincare products.

Particularly those that contain Alpha Hydroxy (AHA), Vitamin A, Retinol. Ideally, do not

use these products for 30 days prior to your appointment, and yes, even if you do not

use it near the area to be treated it does spread under your skin and your cosmetic

tattoo will heal patchy. Once your tattoo has healed under the skin surface

(approximately 6 weeks following your final session) you may resume your usual skin

care routine.

● Do not schedule any facials, microdermabrasion, microneedling, peels or laser

treatments for at least 4 weeks prior to your appointment.

● Do not have cosmetic injections on the forehead for at least two weeks prior to your

appointment (Botox, filler, etc.)

● Please avoid any type of blood thinning medication for a minimum of 72 hours prior to

your procedure unless it’s unsafe to do so for your health. Please ask your doctor before

stopping these types of medications. Such as: Ibuprofen, Aspirin, Advil, Niacin, Voltaren

or Indocid. As well as prenatal vitamins, Vitamin E or nutritional shakes. Tylenol is

recommended if you have a low pain tolerance.

● Do not work out on the day of the procedure.

● Avoid sun tanning or tanning beds for 2 weeks prior to procedure. If you show up to

your appointment with a sunburn you will need to reschedule and will forfeit your

deposit. As your skin exfoliates from a sunburn it will take the pigment. Tanned skin is

damaged skin, and your color will not heal properly.

● Do not tweeze, thread, wax, tint, or perform electrolysis 1 week prior to the procedure.

● Scars from surgery or injury must be healed for at least one year prior to service.

● Do not drink alcohol 24 hours prior to your procedure

● Do not consume coffee or other caffeine products 24 hours prior.

● Please note that you will be more sensitive during your menstrual cycle.

What to expect immediately after

Please be aware that the color intensity will be considerably darker and sharper than you may

expect, but don’t panic as this is completely normal! Your brows will soften in appearance by

30-50%.

Over the following ten days the brows will begin to fade, and may take up to 6-8 weeks for the

true color to come through. Do not be alarmed if the color seems to disappear during the

healing process, this is due to layers of skin forming and is temporary.

An after care kit will be provided and will include the following instructions:

● Wash brows every hour today with wipes included in kit until you run out

● Blot brows with paper before you go to bed. You will wake up with bold brows - its

temporary!

● For the next 10 days, keep brows clear of water, sweat, steam, soap and makeup!

● Days 1-10 blot 3 times a day with papers included in kit

● Every morning clean brows gently w/ a damp paper towel & apply a little tattoo balm

● Apply VERY lightly, you should never have wet or greasy looking brows

● Still be careful to avoid moisture and steam until day 10 & be sure not to remove scabs.

● Brows will flake and scab. No picking or your brows won't heal well

● On day 10 wash your brows with a mild cleanser and your finger tips to remove any

dead skin

● After washing, your tattoo will look too light. This is normal, don't panic! More color will

come back in a few weeks as your skin continues to heal.

● Once fully healed, it’s important to apply SPF to avoid sun damage and maintain optimal

results :)

Note: Scabbing

If your scabs become hard they can fall off in big chunks and take the pigment with it.

Soft scabs that flake off on their own is the "key to successful pigment retention." Do

not try to rush those scabs to come off, do not pick it could scar.

The following must be avoided

○ Do not rub, pick or scratch, as the color may heal unevenly and you could risk

infection, which in turn could lead to scarring. Let any scabbing or dry skin

naturally exfoliate away.

○ Avoid direct sun exposure/tanning or tanning beds for 4 weeks after the

procedure. Wear a hat when outdoors and/or big sunglasses.

○ Avoid heavy sweating, exercise, sports, swimming, sauna, steam rooms, jacuzzi,

and long hot showers for 10 days.

○ Avoid use of skincare or cosmetics on the treated area (be careful using your

foundation or powders.)

○ Avoid using exfoliants, acids such as glycolic acid, alpha hydroxy acids lactic

acid, salicylic acid, and Vitamin A on the tattooed area for 30 days. (Causes

premature fading)

○ Use a fresh pillowcase. Avoid sleeping on your face for the first 10 days.

○ Keep your hair away from your face to avoid infection .

○ Do not schedule any facials, microdermabrasion, microneedling, peels or laser

treatments for at least 4 weeks. They can darken/lighten or distort the pigment.

○ Do not tint your brows for 2 weeks after your procedure

○ Avoid drinking alcohol in excess, as it may lead to slow healing of wounds.

○ Avoid driving in open air vehicles such as convertibles, boats, bicycles, or

motorcycles.

○ Do not perform tasks related to heavy household cleaning such as; garage or

storage cleaning where there is a lot of airborne debris.
