Kristina Dimoplon
Creative Director / Lead Stylist
Kristina is the Creative Director and Lead Stylist of Live By The Sword Salon in Williamsburg. She has been doing hair professionally since 2009 and has been serving the Williamsburg community since 2012, becoming a go-to colorist and stylist in the neighborhood.
Her roots trace back to the New Jersey rock scene, where she first started experimenting with her own hair and coloring for friends in local bands. Transforming people into their rockstar alter ego quickly became her specialty, and making the move to NYC felt like a natural next step.
In 2019, Kristina helped create Live By The Sword Salon out of a need for what she felt was missing in the neighborhood - a vibrant, fun, and truly inclusive salon. It’s the salon she wishes she had growing up as an alternative teen, and today it’s a space where creativity, confidence, and counterculture collide.
Kristina specializes in bold creative color, custom transformations, and hair extensions. Known for blending artistry with technical expertise, she thrives on taking risks and creating looks as unique as the clients who wear them. Her approachable personality, dedication to education, and commitment to client care have earned her both a loyal following and a talented, fashion-forward team that continues to raise the bar in Brooklyn’s salon scene.
Justin Goslin
Salon Manager / Hair Stylist
Justin has been doing hair in Williamsburg for over twenty years since 2002, perfecting his craft and helping clients feel confident and beautiful. After serving in the military and working in medicine, he discovered the beauty industry—an unexpected turn that became his calling.
Since opening in 2019, Justin has been at the heart of Live By The Sword Salon, contributing to the vibrant, welcoming space it has become for Williamsburg’s creative community. As our Salon Manager and a master stylist, he specializes in custom blonding, color correction, fantasy colors, and extensions. His greatest passion is giving clients the beautiful hair and confidence they deserve, while finding deep fulfillment in helping people feel great about themselves.
Katie Cox
Hair Stylist
Meet Katie, a stylist of 14+ years. Originally from Connecticut, Katie found inspiration in the punk and emo scenes she grew up with, and that influence still shines through in her work today.
Since joining Live By The Sword Salon in 2021, she has continued to cultivate a space for creative cuts, bold colors, and clients who want something a little different. With a special love for vivid shades and alternative styles, Katie thrives on giving clients the hair of their dreams no matter their starting canvas.
Always bridging the gap between hairstyling and artistry, she stays committed to expanding her education and bringing the latest techniques to her clients, ensuring every look is both current and uniquely their own. Katie specializes in alternative cuts, vivid colors, and creative styling.

Gus Ramirez
Hair Stylist
For Gus, hair is the ultimate art medium—alive, ever-changing, and endlessly creative. He chose to be a stylist because it offered him the chance to work with something that constantly grows and evolves, providing limitless possibilities for artistry and self-expression. For him, hairdressing is about more than just style—it’s about inclusivity, creativity, and helping clients achieve healthy, stunning results.
Growing up in the 2000s, Gus was immersed in scene culture, experimenting with counter-culture cuts and bold color choices that challenged the norm. That rebellious energy continues to inspire his work today. Since 2012, he has honed his craft, staying captivated by the constant changes and challenges of the industry.
An integral part of Live By The Sword Salon since its opening in 2019, Gus specializes in extensions, color corrections, and precision cutting. Whether he’s pushing boundaries with wolf cuts, fox cuts, ghost roots, or otherworldly color combinations, or perfecting timeless looks like balayage, rich brunettes, and natural-looking extensions, Gus thrives on the challenge of creating unique, expressive styles for every client.
Amanda Rabelo
Hair Stylist / Tooth Gem Technician
Growing up in New York City gave Amanda a one-of-a-kind, enriching experience that shaped her creativity. She doesn’t like to put herself in a box—the possibilities are infinite. Joining the beauty industry, and Live By The Sword Salon specifically, has completely elevated her life, sparking a passion to create and never settle for complacency.
Amanda has been a part of the Live By The Sword Salon team since 2021, where she specializes in razor cuts, pixies, curly and textured hair, hair health, and image consulting. She is also one of our talented Tooth Gem Technicians. For her, being a stylist is about more than just vanity—it’s about helping individuality shine through by the end of every appointment.
Alexandria Dimoplon
Esthetician / Cosmetic Tattoo Artist / Tooth Gem Technician
Originally from Jersey City NJ, Alexandria has always been drawn to the energy and individuality of NYC. She’s spent her years growing up and working in the city, inspired by its nonstop flow of creativity and characters. As an artist, she naturally found her way into the world of beauty and aesthetics where creativity and care comes together.
She graduated from Christine Valmy and has been an esthetician for five years, specializing in facials, lash lifts, and brow laminations.
What she loves most about her role is the one-on-one experience with each of her clients - taking the time to connect, listen, and create a space where people feel relaxed, seen, and confident in their skin.
Alexandria is also one of our Tooth Gem Technicians and loves to design playful curations.

Brittany Rodriguez
Hair Stylist
Brittany got her start in the DIY music scene, styling hair for concerts and music videos before moving behind the chair to focus on long-term client goals. She loves creating colors that blend seamlessly and evolve naturally over time.
Brittany specializes in lived-in blondes, fantasy colors, and haircuts. For her, the best part of the job is getting to be creative every day and seeing the joy on clients’ faces when their vision comes to life.

Amber Bucci
Hair Stylist
Amber has been in the hair industry since 2014, bringing over a decade of experience and a fearless approach to every client in her chair. Born and raised in Florida, she never quite felt like she fit in, which ultimately inspired her move to NYC in 2024 to find community and grow her career.
Growing up, Amber was deeply influenced by the Myspace scene-kid era, a bold and expressive subculture that continues to shape her artistry today. That influence shows up in her love for crafting edgy, alternative haircuts and vibrant, creative color.
Amber specializes in alternative haircuts, creative color, and color corrections. She thrives on helping clients embrace individuality, pushing boundaries with transformative styles, and building confidence through hair that feels authentic, fearless, and uniquely their own.
